Fantasy Comic Book Splash page Art Comission

This is a comission piece. And a long term project so I’ll post updates as they occur. The client had requested a splash page for his comic book series that he’s developing and wanted something akin to the style of Mike Mignola which I more or less already have when I draw more serious comics, so it was a natural fit. I didn’t have much to go on as the client is still developing some character descriptions but this is the protagonist. “He’s arrived at the dungeon where terrible haha resides, waiting in the dark for unsuspecting victims to come in in hopes of obtaining their next meal, little do the hags know this adventurer isn’t on the menu.” I had a ton of fun with the piece and being able to do coloring with vibrant gradients that all blend together seamlessly. Always a treat when I can do that. I had a blast and I can’t wait to continue working on this job. 😄👍🏼
